Ashland, IL - The trial for an Ashland woman accused of shooting her granddaughter's estranged husband to death has been moved to Quincy.
An Eighth Circuit judge ruled the trial for Shirley Skinner be moved because of pre-trial publicity. Skinner's attorney requested the change. She has pled not guilty in the death of 32-year-old Steven Watkins.
Earlier this month, a grand jury also indicted Skinner of previously trying to hire two men to kill Watkins.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin January 21st. Skinner is held on $5 million bond.       Â
