DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A family legacy continues within the Decatur Fire Department with brothers being promoted on the same day.
On Friday, Brad Lockwood was promoted to Captain.
Brad's brother, Brian Lockwood, presented his brother, Brad, with his Captain's helmet.
Brian was promoted to Deputy Chief on the same day.
On their Facebook page, DFD said the Lockwood family has proud legacy within the department. They said Les Lockwood, Brad and Brian's father, retired as Battalion Chief in 2013.
