CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign County Nursing Home will soon get its financial situation out of the gutter.
The home expects 2 checks next week, one from the state for $895,000 and one for either $1.8 or $1.9 million from a federal agreement program.
A nursing home board member says the home is in a greater need now than ever before.
She says it's a result of rapid population increase and baby boomers getting older.
With the long over due payments, the nursing home can now pay off several of its bills.
