Decatur, IL- The Decatur City Council will vote Monday night on whether or not to add more money to the Decatur Dam repair project.

Crews began working on the Decatur dam in June. The original price tag was almost $3 million.

Director of Water Management Keith Alexander says that once they started working on the dam, they found out that the 88 year old concrete needed more repairs then was originally thought.

Alexander says that there is no threat of the dam failing, but the repairs are needed to keep it running properly. Â
