CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - It all comes down to this as Illinois sets its sights on win number nine against Tennessee in the Music City Bowl.
Illinois defeated Northwestern 20-13 in the regular season finale to move to 8-4 on the year, including 5-4 in Big Ten play. Tennessee also sits at 8-4, having won three of its final five games, while losing two ranked matchups to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
A win over the Volunteers on Tuesday would give the Illini back-to-back seasons with at least nine wins for the first time in program history, according to Illinois Athletics.
