SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A Springfield woman is behind bars following a narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, a firearm, and cash, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Lindsay Seward, 41, was arrested on December 23, 2025, by Springfield's Pro-Active Crime Unit after an ongoing drug investigation.
As part of the case, officers obtained and executed a search warrant at Seward’s Springfield residence. The warrant was carried out with assistance from the Illinois State Police Central Illinois Enforcement Group and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
During the search, authorities recovered:
- Approximately 854 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- A revolver handgun
- A large sum of US currencyÂ
Seward was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
She was transported to the Sangamon County Jail, where she remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
The investigation remains ongoing.
