URBANA, Ill. (WAND)- The Champaign County Coroner has identified a 70-year-old man who was found dead with multiple stab wounds in Urbana on Tuesday.
The coroner identified the man as Richard Meek from Urbana; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, February 11, at 8:31 AM, the Urbana Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Laurel Drive for a report of an injured individual.
Upon their arrival, officers found Meek, who appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds.
Illinois State Police and Urbana detectives processed the crime scene.
After further investigation Police established a lead and located Sharon Moore, a 45-year-old Urbana resident.
Moore was arrested for outstanding warrants, obstruction of justice, and First-degree murder. She was subsequently transported to the Champaign County Correctional Center this afternoon.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

The death is being investigated by the Urbana Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office.Â
