SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, is identifying a Springfield man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday.
Allmon said 40-year-old James Hoskins of Springfield was the driver of a motorcycle that collided with a car on North Dirksen Parkway.
Hoskins was rushed to HSHS St. John’s Hospital’s emergency room, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 1:30 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, and the death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
