SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - One man was hospitalized following a shooting in Springfield over the weekend.Â
The Springfield Police Department said in an Aug. 20 press release that officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of South Pasfield.Â
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Â
SPD said the suspect was taken into custody without incident.Â
