BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) — A Bloomington Public School District 87 student was confirmed as one of the four people found dead in a home Sunday.

Bloomington police and the McLean County Coroner have released the identity of the four individuals who were found dead in a home in the 900 block of North Lee Street around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Coroner identified the following individuals:

  • Christopher H. Simmons, 33, of Bloomington, Illinois
  • Chelsea L. Lusher, 31, of Bloomington, Illinois
  • Trina J. Hollings, 31, of Normal, Illinois
  • Armoni L. Bennett, 13, of Bloomington, Illinois

The Coroner confirmed that Lusher, Hollings, and Bennett all died from multiple gunshot wounds. Simmons died from a self-inflicted single gunshot wound to the head.

No other injuries were noted, and toxicology testing is still pending.

Investigators believe Simmons, killed his girlfriend, Chelsea Lusher, Chelsea's biological son, Armoni Bennett, and Chelsea's friend, Trina Hollings, before fatally shooting himself.

Another resident of the home discovered the scene and immediately contacted police.

Bloomington PD said the firearm used in the homicide was located under Simmons' body.

According to police, Simmons legally purchased the gun in 2021. However, after the purchase, his Illinois Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card was revoked, prohibiting him from legally possessing or purchasing firearms.
