DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Danville man was arrested Thursday following a domestic disturbance with injuries.
The Danville Police Department said that officers responded to an address along the 1000 block of W. Columbia just after 11 a.m. July 24.
Members of the patrol division located the victim outside the home with a laceration on their face, and they reported to officers that the suspect was still inside with another family member.
DPD identified the suspect as Timothy Lukas of Danville, and officers surrounded the home as he refused to leave.
A DPD crisis negotiator was on the scene and managed to contact Lukas on the phone. Lukas eventually agreed to let DPD members inside to check on the status of the family member who was still inside the home.
Lukas was then taken into custody and transported to Vermilion County Jail on charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and unlawful use of a weapon.
The investigation is ongoing, and no other information is available.
