DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — A Danville man was arrested on first degree murder charges following an investigation into a body found in a home Monday.
Monty E. Peplow, 41, was found around noon in the 700 block of Sherman Street. The Danville Police Department said that 44-year-old Shane A. May was arrested about eight hours after Peplow was first found.
So far, no information has been released on how Peplow died or what evidence led to May being arrested.
May is being held at the Vermilion County Public Safety Building awaiting a hearing on his charges.
