DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man arrested for an Easter Sunday shooting was denied pretrial release on Tuesday.
Caiden M. Brittain was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting on Church Street that injured a man's leg so badly that he had to have a steel rod inserted, according to police.
In court, Brittain was arraigned on charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Judge Lindsey A. Shelton denied him pretrial release.
Brittain will return to court on May 21 for a preliminary hearing.
