DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A Decatur man has been charged with aggravated cruelty after allegedly stomping a cat to death. 

According to Macon County court records, Delbert W. McGee, 45, was arrested on cruelty to animal charges last month. 

Court records say McGee held down a woman's pet cat and used both feet to stomp on its head and body, killing it. 

McGee was granted pre-trial release. 

His next scheduled court appearance is set for June 11.
