DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -Â A Decatur man arrested during a 2025 sting operation has been sentenced on multiple child sex crime charges.
Court records show Jeffrey P. Chadwicke was sentenced to 14 years in prison on charges of indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a child and sexual exploitation of a child. The sentences will be served concurrently.
According to Paxton police, an officer was working undercover and posing as a 15-year-old girl while communicating with Chadwicke. He was arrested Oct. 1, 2025, in Decatur.
Police said Chadwicke was on parole at the time of his arrest. Paxton police previously told WAND News that Chadwicke had also been charged with child sex crimes in the past.
He was booked into the Ford County Jail.
