(WAND) - A former Danville man has pleaded guilty to aggravated battery with a firearm charges stemming from a November 2024 shooting. 

According to the Office of the State's Attorney in Vermilion County, Tamarion Liggins was sentenced to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. 

Liggins will serve his prison sentence at 85%, followed by three years of mandatory supervised release. 

The state's attorney said that on Nov. 30, 2024, Danville police found a shooting victim on the ground in front of a business on Bowman Avenue. The victim had been shot in her upper arm. 

Police reviewed camera footage from the business and found the shots had come from an SUV. 

Following further investigation, Liggins was identified as the shooter, and the gun he used was also found after being tossed aside near Vine Street. 

The victim is currently paralyzed from the chest down.
