SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A former Chief Warrant Officer 4 in the Illinois Army National Guard has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of child pornography possession in Sangamon County.
David L. Miller of Springfield was originally arrested and charged with seven counts of possessing child pornography.
He pleaded guilty to four counts on March 12. The other counts were dropped.
A representative from the Illinois Army National Guard told WAND News that Miller was discharged on May 31, 2024 and had no formal charges against him at the time of discharge.
The representative did not believe that the charges had any connection to his military service.
Miller will be sentenced on May 28.
This is a developing story.
