PAXTON, Ill. (WAND) - A former Paxton-Buckley-Loda teacher has pleaded guilty to felony sexual assault charges.

Paul Meuser, 72, a former driver's ed teacher, was charged in mid-March for attempted criminal sexual assault and a charge involving a victim under 18.

According to a letter to families, the PBL superintendent said Meuser was put on administrative leave on March 8 and resigned three days later. 

Ford County court records show that Meuser was arrested on March 15.

He's due in court for sentencing July 6.
