DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man charged in a home invasion that left a mother-of-two shot in Decatur will be appearing in court Wednesday.
Cesar-Javier Jacinto, 24, is believed by police to have been the getaway driver in a home invasion that took place on Feb. 10.
Alexia Templar spoke to WAND News about her experience being home alone with her two young children as multiple people broke into her house. She gathered her children and told the intruders to leave or she would shoot them.

According to Templar, they started immediately shooting at her. She shot back, but was hit once in the arm and once in the hip. According to a sworn statement from the Decatur Police Department, this was the same hip she was using to hold her infant daughter.
24-year-old Deonte A. Stone, 25-year-old Colton L. Clark also known as Sophie, and an unidentified 16-year-old boy were also charged in the home invasion.Â
A sworn statement said that when detectives spoke to Stone in jail, he told them that Jacinto was also involved in the plan to "hit the house," and that he drove the others involved.
Jacinto, Stone, and Clark are back in Macon County court Wednesday on charges of attempted murder charge, aggravated battery involving the discharge of a gun, and home invasion involving the discharge of a gun.
