LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) - A man was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI following a two-vehicle crash in Lincoln that killed an older woman. 

The Lincoln Police Department said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the area of North Logan Street and Peoria Street. 

Police found an SUV and a minivan severely damaged. Lincoln police found during an initial investigation that the SUV had rammed into the minivan from behind. 

A passenger in the minivan, later identified as 66-year-old Christine Shaub, was taken to the hospital, where she later died. 

Lincoln police said two other passengers in the van refused medical treatment. 

The SUV driver, 38-year-old Shaun Cook, was also taken to the hospital. After being released from the hospital, he was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail. 

Cook is charged with aggravated driving under the influence.
