URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A man was injured in a shooting in Urbana and several homes were hit by gunfire. 

Urbana police were called to Beardsley Ave. and Romine St. at 10:28 p.m. Sunday. 

A 23-year-old man from Urbana was shot in the lower leg. He was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. 

Multiple shell casings were found, and several residences had been struck by gunfire. The homes were occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one inside them was hurt. 

Anyone with information or security footage is asked to call police.
