PANA, Ill. (WAND) — A Pana man was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges from February.
Braxton Schaffenacker was arrested on February 14 after an Illinois State Police investigation found that he had child pornography.
On Tuesday, a Christian County court accepted Schaffenacker's plea, finding him guilty of one count of child pornography, a class X felony. As part of the plea deal, seven other charges were dismissed.
Schaffenacker was given credit for 263 days served while awaiting sentencing.
