LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) — A Springfield man has been issued multiple citations after a deadly crash near Lincoln.
Illinois State Police said 47-year-old Sylvester L. Anderson was involved in a two-car crash early Thursday, June 5 around Old Route 66 near 1500th Avenue. He was taken to a hospital with injuries, but the driver of the other vehicle, a 27-year-old out of Bloomington, was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
Anderson was issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving while license expired, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
