DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Bishop Deloyde Sanders of Perfected Prayze Ministries jokes about his stolen grill.
“Barbeque so good it will make you want to steal the grill,” he said.
Sanders and volunteers fed more than 250 people on Saturday who needed a meal outside of the Oasis Center in Decatur. When the day was done, Sanders and others were busy transporting tables, chairs and additional items to other locations. When Sanders returned, the grill was gone.
This was not a small grill. It was a full-size grill on a trailer, and it had to be towed.
Sanders was able to secure security camera video, which showed the grill being towed away by a red truck with smoke still coming from the hot grill.
He posted the picture on Facebook, which was shared hundreds of times. Tips came in, and he eventually found out who took it and recovered it.
Sanders said he will continue to use the grill to "feed God’s children."
