Decatur man sentenced for possessing, sharing child sexual abuse material

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A Macon County man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for dissemination of child sexual abuse material. 

Charles Bolsen, 66, of Decatur, was charged in Macon County Circuit Court with two counts of dissemination of child pornography of a victim under 13 years old and eight counts of possession of child pornography of a victim under 13 years old. 

Bolsen was sentenced June 12 after pleading guilty to one count of dissemination of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. 

The charges stem from an investigation where Decatur police and the Macon County Sheriff's Office searched Bolsen's home in Decatur in July 2024 and evidence of child sexual abuse material was found.
