DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Police Department has promoted Lieutenant Scott Rosenbery to Deputy Chief of Police, effective May 23, 2025.
Rosenbery will be succeeding Brian Cleary, who is retiring after 30 years.
Rosenbery has been with the department since September 2006, serving most recently as the Lieutenant of Criminal Investigations.
Chief Brad Allen stated, "Lt. Rosenbery has close to 19 years of service with this department. His knowledge and experience will contribute greatly to his new assignment and the DPD administrative team. I am excited for Scott, and his career advancement."
Rosenbery's career progression includes becoming a detective in 2009, a Sergeant in 2017, and Lieutenant in 2022. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and holds an MBA from Millikin University.
