DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Another Payless ShoeSource store in central Illinois will soon close its doors for the final time.
According to an updated list of store closures provided by Payless ShoeSource, the Payless location in Decatur's Brettwood Village Shopping Center will soon shut down. In April 2017, Payless officials announced the closure of several stores throughout the country, including stores in Danville and Forsyth.
Payless recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, resulting in nearly 400 stores closing in an effort to reduce debt. It has not yet been announced exactly when the Decatur store will close.
WAND News reached out to Payless officials regarding this closure, but officials did not wish to comment on the closure at this time.
