UPDATE: The Macon County Coroner has released the names of the two murder victims. Cindanett Eaton, 57, and her daughter, 23 year-old Lindsey Eaton, were pronounced dead at the scene just before 6 a.m. Friday morning. Cindanett Eaton was shot in the head and torso and was stabbed multiple times. Her daughter Lindsey was stabbed multiple times in the neck, torso and other extremities. Both died as a result of their wounds.
The Macon County Sheriff has released the name of the suspect in this case. Timothy Giles, 27, of Centralia, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery, domestic battery and home invasion. His bond has been set at $2 million.
DECATUR, IL- The Macon County Sheriff's Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred early Friday morning near Harristown.
According to the Sheriff's Department, deputies were detailed to a residence on South Gravel Pit Road near Harristown around 12:45 a.m. Friday. Emergency care was given to one woman at the home before she was taken to the hospital.
After further investigation, officers found two other women dead inside the home.
Police began investigating this incident as a homicide and a male suspect was quickly identified. Police found the suspect in rural Moweaqua and took him into custody.
Police are not releasing the names of the victims until formal notifications have been made to the family. The name on the suspect will not be released until formal charges have been filed.
The investigation into this case is ongoing. Police believe that at this time there are no more suspects in this case. Â
