SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A driver lost their life after their pick-up truck hit a tree Friday. 

Police say the crash happened in the 5000 block of S. 11th St. They were called to the scene after 4 p.m. 

The driver, a woman in her 40s, was hospitalized and later died. 

The truck was a Ford-150. There is no word yet on how the crash happened.
