OAKWOOD, Ill. (WAND) — Eastbound traffic on Interstate 74 was partially reopened near Oakwood following a crash involving two semi-trucks Sunday.
According to the Illinois State Police, Troop 7 officers were on the scene of the crash with minor injuries around 1 p.m.
Photos sent by a WAND viewer show two semi trucks with fire and heavy smoke coming from them.
Motorists traveling eastbound on I-74 were being directed onto U.S. Route 150 at Exit 206 while crews responded to the scene.
Just before 4:30 p.m., Illinois State Police said the left lane is back open. Drivers are still advised to use caution when traveling through the area.
