RANTOUL, Ill. (WAND) — Rantoul City Schools District 137 (RCS) is inviting families and community members to take part in a community engagement session at the end of March.
The session will be focused on strengthening the district's curricular and extracurricular programs. As part of the district's improvement plan, RCS said it is working to ensure that programs and services at every grade level reflect the needs of students, families, staff, and the community.
During the session, participants will have the opportunity to participate in structured, small-group discussions centered on identifying what programs and opportunities the district should keep, improve, stop or start.
RCS said feedback will directly inform district decision-making and future investments.
"RCS belongs to this community, and the strength of our schools depends on the voices and partnerships of those we serve," said District Superintendent Scott Woods. "This is an opportunity for our community to directly shape the future of our programs and opportunities for students."
The engagement session will be on Monday, March 30 at 6 p.m. in the JW Eater Junior High School library.
To ensure accessibility, the program will be offered in both English and Spanish. Child care will be available for children ages 3 to 10 with advance registration.
Registration forms in English and Spanish can be found online.
