ROCHESTER, Ill. (WAND) - Rochester Community Unit School District #3A has named Molly Edmonds as its new superintendent, the district announced Wednesday.
The district shared that Edmonds is currently the superintendent for Pawnee CUSD #11, after previously serving as the high school principal at North Mac CUSD #34.
Edmonds also served as the Director of Student Care for the Illinois State Board of Education and as the Deputy Director of Education for the Illinois DCFS.
"My family and I are looking forward to meeting and becoming a part of the Rochester community. I am also eager to cheer on our Rockets and work alongside the incredible staff who ensure the students continue to have endless opportunities for success," Edmonds said in a statement.
Edmonds earned certification in Early Childhood Education at the University of Houston, earned a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University, and received her Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
