DORKING, Ill. (WAND) - Competitive couples fought through wind and soggy wet conditions this weekend at the 13th annual Wife-Carrying Championships.
It's a contest where men carrying a female teammate try to make their way through a 380-meter obstacle track in the fastest time.
There is a minimum 110-pound-weight rule.
And there are stakes. There is an entire barrel of beer up for grabs for the winner.
The winning mates will move on to Finland later this year.
