SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Two teens were arrested after a fight at White Oaks Mall in Springfield.Â
Police were called to the mall just before 7 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a group of juveniles near the food court area.
Officers found a security guard who had been battered on the ground. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. They are expected to recover.Â
Officers arrested two juveniles responsible for battering the security guard.Â
Police say, there were initial reports of gun shots fired inside of the mall. They say after taking with witnesses those reports were not true.
