DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur area police, firefighters and EMT’s are raising money Friday and Saturday for the Decatur Salvation Army.

Gurneys, guns and hoses is an annual competition tied to the Red Kettle drive to see which agency raises the most money. This is the 14th year for the event. The previous 13 years raised an estimated $200,000.

The Salvation Army annual fundraising goal during the Christmas season is $600,000. It is the same amount as last year.

The Red Kettle fundraising lasts from now until Christmas Eve.
