Fire truck (C)

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND)  - A house was destroyed by a fire and a nearby house was also damaged in Danville. 

The Danville Fire Department was called to Tillman Ave. around 11:30 Thursday night for a fire. 

A single family home had heavy fire showing extending through the roof. Firefighters were only able to tackle the fire from the outside due to it making the home unstable. 

A nearby home was also damaged by the fire. 

Crews were eventually able to get the fire put out, and an excavator was brought it to knock the home down. The scene was cleared just before 2 a.m. 

No injuries were reported.
