DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Thursday night's snow covered roads made morning travel difficult as people headed to work Friday.Â
Reporting along Interstate 72 and Route 51 at the intersection Friday morning in Decatur, WAND News's Caroline Reese said that, while there was not a heavy amount of snow, there was a good coating.Â
Leave time for scraping ice off your vehicle and warming it up before your commute.Â
Side streets can also be slick, not always getting the same amount of attention from plows early on as the main roads.Â
Parking lots were also very icy. So, take your time and go slowly while walking.Â
Several schools in the area are closed or having e-learning days. You can find the full list here.Â
