DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Two people are in the hospital after Decatur police said their car lost control near the railroad tracks Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the 800 block of North Sunnyside Road for a one-car crash just after midnight.
Police said the driver was a 25-year-old man and the passenger was a 19-year-old woman. Both are Decatur residents.
According to officers the car lost control at or near the railroad tracks.
The driver and passenger were both taken to the hospital. The driver was taken to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries soon after. The passenger was only treated for minor injuries.
DPD is still investigating the crash.
