CHICAGO (WAND) — Police said a 2-year-old girl who was kidnapped by three armed people on Wednesday has been found safe.
According to Chicago police, a woman and two men, all armed with guns, stormed a building in the Bronzeville neighborhood just before 5 a.m.
Officers said they took 2-year-old Auttumn Shelley with them and left in a stolen car.
Police said the woman in the group was 22-year-old Angelique Mobley, Shelley's biological mother.
An update from the Illinois State Police confirmed the child had been found safely, but did not provide any additional details.
Police are still working to establish a motive, but believe the abduction may have been a domestic-related incident.
