CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) — The Charleston Police Department is investigating after a local business was robbed Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at a business in the 500 block of 6th Street just after 1 p.m. That is across from the Coles County Courthouse.
Officers responded to reports of a man who went into a business, approached the owner, and grabbed cash out of the register before walking out.
According to the Charleston Police Department, the man claimed to have a weapon, but no weapon was shown and nobody was hurt.
