CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Carle Health in Champaign is expected to lay off more than 600 employees starting in July, according to a WARN notice submitted to the state of Illinois on Thursday.
The data listed on the Illinois workNet Center website says that the Carle Health located at 3310 Fields South Dr. in Champaign is scheduled to lay off 612 employees starting on July 8.
This is due to Carle subsidiaries Health Alliance and FirstCarolinaCare ending all insurance plans other than Medicare Advantage by January 1, 2026.
