DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur City Council will decide whether the local motor fuel tax will be extended if council members approve the extension.Â
The tax on diesel and non-diesel fuel will be equalized at five cents per gallon, a four-cent increase.Â
Decatur said revenue generated from the tax is used to maintain and improve city streets.Â
City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Decatur Civic Center.Â
