New earthquake educational tool to be shown at IEMA Training Summit

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - An overnight earthquake was reported in Christian County. 

A 3.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 1:30 a.m., 4 kilometers northwest of Ohlman, Illinois by the United States Geological Survey. 

USGS states there was light to moderate shaking. An earthquake of this magnitude can often be felt but very rarely would cause damage. 

The data has not yet been reviewed by a scientist.
