SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) announced Thursday that it has approved rail safety improvements in Macon County.Â
A new automatic warning device and circuitry upgrade at the Wyckles Road highway railroad crossing of Illinois Central Railroad Company's track in Warrensburg.
The Grade Crossing Protection Fund (GCPF) will cover 95% of the estimated cost for the new warning devices.Â
Work is expected to be completed within 18 months.Â
