TUSCOLA, Ill. (WAND) - RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness announced that it will be closing its services after 50 years of serving Douglas County.Â
The organization announced on Facebook earlier this month that clinical operations will end May 22, with a full organizational transition on June 30.
RISE is set to close due to "ongoing" funding and staff challenges, and determined that closing was the "most responsible way" to honor its clients, staff and the community.Â
The organization stated that it will work with clients to provide referrals and coordinate with other providers.Â
"It has been a privilege to walk alongside this community, and RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness is committed to closing in a way that reflects the heart of our mission," RISE said in the post.Â
According to RISE's website, the organization was established in August 1974 and provides essential services to those struggling with mental health issues.Â
