CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) — State Farm has opened a customer care site in Charleston to help those affected after a tornado left behind damage in the city Wednesday.
The site is in the parking lot of County Market at 551 W. Lincoln Avenue in Charleston. It is open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will continue operations Monday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Customers can walk up to file a claim or get help or information on an existing claim.
State Farm said the hope is that the site will help speed up the claim filing and recovery process for those impacted by the severe weather.
The National Weather Service did confirm that an EF-2 tornado hit Charleston and parts of Mattoon. It traveled almost 14 miles.
