DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A train and semi collided in Decatur Wednesday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. near Woodford Street and McBride Street.

It's unknown if anyone was hurt, but witnesses shared images with WAND News that showed emergency workers near the train. A stretcher and several first responders were huddled and crouched down near the ground.

DPD didn't have any information to share with WAND News about possible injuries.

Both lanes at the crossing are closed.

The area, in the center of Decatur, is near a train yard and the Macon County Highway Department.

A locomotive had Canadian National Railway markings, but it's unclear who was operating the train or where it was headed. It's also not clear what the train was transporting or if any cars derailed.

WAND News attempted to contact CN on Wednesday, but hadn't received a reply.

This is a developing story.
