CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Champaign Fire Department is investigating after a vacant house and garage caught fire Saturday.
Firefighters responded to a fire in a vacant single-family home and detached garage in the 200 block of North Fourth Street just before 3:45 p.m.
Crews found heavy smoke when they arrived and worked to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No firefighters were hurt.
