DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Illinois State Police are honoring and remembering fallen Trooper Todd Hanneken on the anniversary of his death.

Trooper Hanneken was killed in a single vehicle crash in Bondville, Illinois.
He was on patrol when he was involved in a single vehicle crash on March 25, 2021. Trooper Hanneken was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased at 11:45 a.m.
Trooper Hanneken was a 20-year veteran of the Illinois State Police. He is survived by his wife, two sons, brother, and parents.
