DECATUR, IL- A Macon man has taken a plea deal on meth charges.
Last month, 41 year-old Christopher Vandevanter pleaded guilty to delivery and possession of methamphetamine.
In court Monday, Vandevanter was sentenced to three years probation and sent to a faith-based drug rehab program. The Macon County State's Attorney objected to the sentence.
Vandevanter will now have to successfully complete the program or be sent to jail.
Vandevanter was arrested during the early morning hours of March 5 for allegedly selling meth out of his home in Macon.
